Over 67 million user accounts screened
700,000 initial concerns reviewed and cleared by Level 1 analysts
3 million new user names screened monthly
Ongoing monthly clearance of 50,000 concerns
Minimal client escalation – only true matches flagged
A global software company experiencing exponential user growth needed SME consultancy support to design and implement a robust sanctions screening framework, and then operationalize it. Operating under a freemium model, the platform had limited user verification data—making it vulnerable to compliance risk as it moved closer to a funding milestone and potential IPO.
With tens of millions of active accounts and minimal friction in onboarding, the company faced a critical challenge: how to prove to investors and regulators that its user base was free from sanctioned individuals and entities.
High-Volume Screening Deployment
A solution was designed and implemented that screened 67 million names using Global RADAR’s AI-powered, context-sensitive matching tools. The system integrated global watchlists and performed both exact and fuzzy logic matching to identify relevant risks.
Level 1 Review Layer
From the initial batch, 700,000 potential matches were reviewed by our dedicated Level 1 team. The vast majority were false positives and cleared efficiently, with only confirmed hits escalated to the client for review which greatly reduced their operational burden.
Ongoing Compliance at Scale
Post-deployment, the Global RADAR platform continues to screen approximately 3 million new user accounts each month. On average, 50,000 concerns are assessed by our Level 1 review team monthly, with true matches flagged for further investigation.
Risk-Aligned Escalation Framework
A clear escalation protocol aligned with the client’s risk appetite was implemented — ensuring that only material matches reached internal stakeholders. The result was a lean, defensible, and cost-effective compliance layer that supports investor confidence and growth-readiness.
